The primary mission of golden goose is to provide support to those who want to improve their financial situation and work towards financial freedom.
There is a lack of educated, timely, and objective information in the English language on personal finance in Japan. We aim to plug that gap, while remaining relatable and humerous.
If you don’t live in Japan, that’s okay. Most of the general principles will be applicable to other countries as well, but the specific banks, stores, etc. will be different.
Please note that we are not your financial advisor, and we don’t know your specific situation – hence nothing we write about should be taken as financial advice.
What we write about here are facts, and our educated opinions relating to those facts. We will discuss our beliefs, and what we would do – however you must make your own decisions based on your unique situation. The best choice for one person may not be the best choice for someone else.
Our secondary mission is to help those wanting to learn English. By writing articles about personal finance in a simple and straightforward manner in English, we hope that other Japanese people may be able to understand the content and level up their reading comprehension in the area of personal finance – an area not often covered in typical English classes.
